AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE THE DAY EVERYTHING BECAME NOTHING THE KILL MALEVOLENCE ROSKOPP This Friday, five bands will rip the defenseless Pony to pieces in a five round death match from the pits beneath the pits beneath the gutter of Hell’s urinal. Roskopp open the evening (and the jugular) with a razor sharp frenzy of gore-addled grindcore fury! Malevolence from Auckland make their return to Melbourne by smearing putrid faeces into the open wound with contagious and contaminative crusty grinding metal. The Kill take over to administer a sonic flaying with muscle-rending blastbeats and skin stripping riffery in a head-spinning tornado of frantic grind! Fresh from their campaign of devastation across the USA, The Day Everything Became Nothing take control of the twitching carcass then crush it into paste with their steamrolling, mega-heavy, grooving goregrind, then adding a final insult to multiple injuries, Agents Of Abhorrence train their laser-precise blowtorch on the revolting remnants to incinerate all evidence, and finish proceedings on a high note of explosive technical grindcore. 9.30pm ...and for those who arrived late... at 2.00am..... free entry: DEAF WISH Bang in the middle of east coast tour to launch their new 7” on Idget Child Records, Deaf Wish will appear at Pony to play 15 songs in 25 minutes. Sick, un-needed and fall of want - the music of Deaf Wish is an honest exploration into the world of anxiety -wrecked, spiritually deranged individuals stuck in an adolescent nightmare. ...and for non-stop dancemania 3.00am free entry DJ LOVE HERTZ ... rockin' til 7am! |

TIC TOC TOKYO IINTERNATIONAL KARATE TOWNHALL Tic Toc Tokyo return to Pony heading a diverse bill of unique bands. So far, 2008 has seen TTT release their critically acclaimed debut EP Artefacts, which captures the uncompromising musical shifts, contorted tension and sharp rain-dance rhythms that characterise their live shows. They have continued with a run of great gigs and have just recorded a new, soon to be released single with indi legend Nao Anzai. Their kaleidoscope of no-wave leanings, ghostly vocal melodies and percussive exclamation insists on being a unique live experience. International Karate will bring their layered soundscapes and renowned live show to provide main support. Rounding out the bill, Townhall will make the trip from Geelong to raucously kick off proceedings. 9.30pm ...and for those who arrived late... at 2.00am..... free entry: LITTLE PICTURES (NZ) Little Pictures are a boy/girl duo that live in Wellington, New Zealand together where they play electronic pop music and hang out on the internet. They fiddle with synths, samples and a glockenspiel to make something a little glitchy, a little catchy, and a little awesome. Some people call them cute, but they're actually bad to the bone! Having been recently been signed to Lil' Chief Records along side The Brunettes and The Ruby Suns, Little Pictures are poised to release their debut album 'Owl + Owl' this month. They play a farewell show at Pony's 2am this Saturday night. ... later later ... 3.00am free entry DJ PINK FITT ... silly buggers til 7am |
